Outreach
As a freelance teacher I do outreach work with agencies working with homeless, ex homeless and other disadvantaged people.
My outreach classes work in groups on projects such as tiles and planters. Individuals in the classes have also created pieces such as ashtrays, mugs, plates and ornamental or sculptural pieces.
A variety of materials and tools are used in the classes. Sessions have a basic loose structure of handbuilding, decorating and subject matter, although people are encouraged to make anything they like. Hopefully they will be inspired and proud of what they make.
